About Dj.RedLox
.DJ • Tantric Meditation & Kundalini Yoga Instructor
DJ RedLox is a 30‑year veteran of the turntables and the yoga mat, whose journey began at age 13 behind the mic at WDGC 88.3 FM. Freshly inspired by Chicago’s house and hip‑hop scenes, he revolutionized the local reggae movement by applying beat‑matching, seamless blending, and harmonic key‑mixing—techniques to Dancehall, Roots, & Dub music unheard of at the time in Chicago. Restless for new sonic frontiers, RedLox went on to pioneer Chicago’s world‑music circuit, helming Indian, Bhangra, and Bollywood nights, Arabic‑themed parties, and Latin showcases. He’s shared stages with icons from Capleton and Israel Vibration to Sean Paul, Twista, Talib Kweli, The Roots, and Destiny’s Child—it’s a list that spans genres, Apache Indian, Bally Sago, Kymani and Julian Marley, The Wailers and even the Official NBA All‑Star red‑carpet after‑party. His residencies have lit up virtually every marquee club in Chicago and historic venues from the Waldorf Astoria in New York to major international festivals. He has performed as a rep. & artist for several Album / Film Launch Parties by Putumayo World Music, V.P. Records & several Bollywood Film Companies. RedLox has won an award for best regularly scheduled program by The C.B.A. Colorado Broadcaster’s Association for his mixing work on Breckenridge’s KSMT The Mountain and played on Vail’s KZYR The Zypher which was syndicated to Miami & Jackson Hole Wyoming as well. He currently plays on S.E. Asia’s biggest online station Ruckus Ave. Radio which was recently picked up by Sirius Xm.
Since 1995, Redlox has also guided students into deeper presence as a certified Kundalini yoga and meditation instructor. From complete beginners to advanced practitioners, he’s taught breathwork, mantra, and movement in studios, in the streets and on retreats worldwide—and was profiled in Yoga Journal, where one contributor hailed her session as “It was by far one of my most favorite Kundalini Yoga classes I’ve ever attended..” His workshops weave live DJ sets with guided meditation and movement, creating immersive experiences that move both body and mind—perfect for international yoga‑music festivals looking to elevate the crowd on every level.
